TapRooT® training course
The Business Engagement and Support Team recently sent two staff members on a two-day TapRooT® training course. TapRoot is recognised as an industry best practice tool used in root cause analysis. TapRoot® is a systematic process, software, and training for finding the real root causes of problems. It is used by leading companies around the world to investigate and fix the root causes of major accidents, everyday incidents, minor near-misses, quality issues, human errors, maintenance problems, productivity issues, manufacturing mistakes, environmental releases … in other words, all types of mission-critical problems.
The Taproot process will be introduced by IT Services to investigate and identify the root cause of critical and recurring IT incidents and will ensure the University’s processes are in line with those used by industry leaders around the world. Through a methodical approach in identifying the root cause of incidents, we will ensure a continuous improvement in the delivery and support of IT services across the University.
