One of the University's top priorities is to ensure that all members of the University community remain safe and well in the event of an emergency.
The University of Newcastle Emergency Procedures Guide outlines what to do in different emergency situations. It is posted at key locations in University buildings to inform staff and students and guide them in an emergency.
For information on what to do in an emergency see our security and emergency information.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES TRAINING MODULE
The Emergency Procedures training module is currently being updated. The new and improved module will be available soon and will cover all the important information you need to keep yourself, students and members of the public safe in an emergency.
In the meantime, please make sure you:
- Are familiar with the Emergency Procedures guide (above) and that a copy of this document is readily available in your work area
- Read and understand the information in the emergency management plans (below)
Being familiar with these documents will help you understand how we manage emergencies at UON and what you need to do in the unlikely event of an incident.
