Facilities Management and Workplace Health and Safety
With over 70 major buildings and some 6,500 rooms, our buildings and our teaching, learning, research and workspaces inspire creativity and success. We do everything we can to keep students, staff and visitors safe when visiting our campuses and locations. However, it is still important to inform us, to keep yourself safe, to be aware of risks that may exist and ways to minimise them.
The University has several teams which can help you to report and control any safety or security risk that you might see, and we invite you to contact them to discuss any concerns you might have.

- health and safety: please contact us via the Health & Safety Team. This could include notifying us of slip and trip hazards, or other hazards which may cause potential harm or injury to someone visiting the University. If you have suffered an injury or require first aid, we have over 100 qualified first aid officers across our campuses to assist you.
- our buildings and facilities: please contact Infrastructure and Facility Services. This could include concerns regarding parking, buildings and facilities. Questions about disability services and access available within the University can be directed to our Disability Services Support team.
- campus security: please contact the Security Team. if you feel threatened or insecure, or have seen any suspicious behaviour while visiting the University. Our Security Team can also assist you in identifying and taking precautions to reduce the chance of any incident occurring, including these helpful tips.
