Course handbook

Description

The aim of this introductory course is to improve and practise existing maths skills and begin to develop the ability to transfer these skills into medical calculations. This course focusses on building elementary mathematical skills to build numeracy skills. Numeracy is a key skill for the study of health, medicine, and wellbeing. Correct and safe administration of medication depends upon the ability to both calculate and measure medications correctly. Every branch of health, medicine, and wellbeing is the same in that you need mathematical skills.
