Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate effectiveness in developing in students' competence in the use of ESL;

2. Adequately assess students' abilities and shortcomings in communicating through ESL;

3. Incorporate materials and resources in creating a dynamic ESL teaching environment; and

4. Design an appropriate language syllabus in accord with the cultural context.


Completion of a 20-days site-based experience in a setting approved by the course coordinator.


This course has similarities to EDUC6888 and EDUC6889. If you have completed either of these courses or are currently enrolled in either of these courses, you cannot enrol in this course.
