Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate basic oral and written skills essential for dramatic text analysis and character building.

2. Demonstrate effective inter-personal communication.

3. Apply basic modes of dramatic impersonation within a creative collaborative context.


Content

Basic acting techniques and character work.

Exercises intended to develop the relaxation demanded of a performer on stage

Elementary character development

Playing objectives based on textual analysis.

Performance: Minor practical performance - 25%
