NEWCASTLE'S GLOBAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL RETURNS!

The Newcastle International Animation Festival hauls in the best animations from across the known universe!

In 2018 the Newcastle International Animation Festival, thanks to the University Of Newcastle, will transport audiences with a stellar line-up of the world's best bite-sized animations. The festival will deliver six awe-inspiring sessions across 9th, 10th, 11th November.

This year the festival introduces 'Local Produce' -- a session dedicated to showcasing the talents of local animators. This will be followed by a Q&A session with animators and industry insiders. A must-see for budding animators!

The adorable Kids' Program and mind-bending Late Night Bizarre will also return alongside the Australian and International programs. Prepare for gravity-defying stories from the Earth's orbit and beyond.

Tickets are only $10 per session or $25 for a weekend pass.

Local Produce / Australian Showcase & Q&A

A double-header -- two sessions wrapped in one golden bow! Local Produce serves up incredible animations being dreamt up in our own backyard by Newcastle's brightest! Followed by the Australian Showcase -- a visual discovery from Australia's animation stars, rivaling the world's best. Then stick around for the Q&A to uncover how they did it.

An always mind-bending line-up! This year features two films from Newcastle's most warped animators.

International Program 2

A stellar selection from Denmark, Japan, Germany, Canada and the UK. Gravity-defying stories from Earth's orbit.
