The Seahorse

The Seahorse has been the University's emblem since 1965 and has always had huge loyalty with our alumni, staff and the local community.

The original symbol was a mythical seahorse, based on the naval coat of arms of Lieutenant John Shortland, the first official European discoverer of Newcastle.

To celebrate this proud tradition and continue your connection to the University, our alumni magazine is called The Seahorse.

The Seahorse features graduate profiles, alumni event wrap-ups, research updates and the alumni event diary.

To ensure you receive you copies and stay connected to your alumni network, update your details at MyAlumni.
