SMART: Science Maths And Real Technology

The College of Engineering, Science and Environment SMART Program has created and delivered engaging science shows and workshops since our establishment in 1998.

Our interactive experiences support inquiry based learning, and are designed to inspire, inform and involve young people in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

SMART shows and workshops can be delivered in schools, at community venues, or on campus at The University of Newcastle by our professional team of university students, research scientists, teachers and STEM professionals.

We’re welcoming enquiries for our after-school STEM Club.
