Whether you need to get to and from classes at Callaghan or travel to our City campus, our free shuttle service will get you where you need to go.

The NUspace shuttle is a free inter-campus service that runs 5 days a week from 7am – 10.15pm. To use the shuttle, all you need to do is show your student or staff card to the driver when getting on the bus. Wi-Fi is also available for you to use while travelling

The official Park and Ride car parks are located at car park 14 and car park 2 (across from the Design bus stop). Click here for the Callaghan campus parking map for exact locations.

When parking at Callaghan you still need to display a valid parking permit or purchase a parking ticket from the ticket machines located within the car parks. Click here to find out more about parking at Callaghan.

There are disability permit use bays in both car parks and the shuttle bus is wheelchair accessible and is designed to meet accessibility needs of students and staff. Please speak to the driver if you require assistance to board the bus.

The shuttle service runs during semester on a 30-minute frequency. During semester break the shuttle will change to a hourly service. Download the myUON app to keep an eye on where the shuttle is in real time!

Travel times may vary depending on traffic conditions. Please arrive ten minutes prior to the departure time to ensure you do not miss your bus service. Departures from the Design Bus Stop and from NUspace are a scheduled departure times. When catching the bus from either of these stops you may have a short delay whilst the bus waits for their designated departure time.

Driving towards a better future

The NUspace shuttle utilises Volvo hybrid technology to reduce carbon emissions and support the University's goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2025. Compared to full-diesel generated shuttles, the NUspace shuttle is estimated to reduce CO2e emissions by 50%.

Equipped with Volvo's unique parallel hybrid technology, the NUspace shuttle also emits low noise with silent take-off in electric mode, no engine idling at bus stops and battery-powered auxiliaries keeping disturbing noises at a minimum.

On top of this, the NUspace shuttle takes an average of 1000 passengers per day, reducing traffic congestion and associated CO2e emissions from private travel.
