RESPONSE exhibition @ Hunter Region Botanic Gardens
Response is a partnership between the University Gallery and the Hunter Region Botanic Gardens. 12 local artists respond to the natural environment of this important regional environment, installing sculptural works along the pathways of the gardens. Find their works installed on site until 4 August.

Virginia Cuppaidge artworks from the University Collection at Newcastle Art Gallery
The University of Newcastle Collection has a large archive of incredible artworks and artefacts. The stunning paintings Chrysalis Beginning 1989, and Skyspace 1981, by Virginia Cuppaidge, are two large scale works by the artist in the collection, currently on exhibition as part of Virginia Cuppaidge: the nature of abstraction at at Newcastle Art Gallery, 11 May - 21 July 2019.

From the Mudbrick House - Exhibition Catalogue Online
The University Gallery created an outstanding catalogue for the recent exhibition of local Newcastle artists Dino Consalvo and Lottie Consalvo From the Mudbrick House, held 20 March to 20 April. The catalogue is now available as a digital download.

Yearning to Yarn Exhibition
Yearning to Yarn is an initiative using Aboriginal ways of knowing and learning to support clinical placement experiences of Aboriginal health professional students. Created by Simon Munro, the Yearning to Yarn exhibition is on display at the Senta Taft-Hendry Museum, located under the University Gallery, now and into 2019.

Education Not Detention: Academics for Refugees National Day of Action17 October is a National Day of Action across university campuses to call for the end of the offshore processing regime.
