Severe weather update: Tuesday 23 March - Callaghan, Ourimbah, Taree and Coffs Harbour campuses to reopen
Tuesday, 23rd March 2021 - 1:55pm
Location: Newcastle (Callaghan), Central Coast (Ourimbah), Port Macquarie, Taree
Given the easing weather conditions in some parts of NSW, our campuses at Callaghan, Ourimbah, Taree and Coffs Harbour campuses will reopen tomorrow, Wednesday 24 March, and classes will go ahead. These sites will reopen at 11.59pm tonight. Our Port Macquarie site will remain closed.
Our childcare centres and The Forum at Callaghan will be open. The NUspace to Callaghan shuttle will also operate as normal.
When returning to campus, please continue to exercise caution and minimise movement around our sites. Pathways may be very slippery and there may be debris on roads or paths.
And, as always, we ask that you stay home if the road or weather conditions make it unsafe to travel.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
