Severe weather: Ourimbah, Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour sites closed on Monday 22 March, Callaghan campus to open

Sunday, 21st March 2021 - 12:00am

Location: Newcastle (Callaghan), Central Coast (Ourimbah), Newcastle (City), Port Macquarie

Given the continued severe weather, our Ourimbah, Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour campuses will be closed tomorrow, Monday 22 March. All classes at these sites will be cancelled. If you are unable to travel safely to campus due to poor road or weather conditions, please stay at home and stay safe.

Our other sites, including Callaghan, NUspace, Sydney and Tamworth, will be open and classes will be on. If you are unable to travel safely to campus due to poor road or weather conditions, please notify your course coordinator (for students) or your supervisor (for staff).

Students will be able to submit an adverse circumstances request to cover missed classes if they are unable to safely attend campus.

The Callaghan campus, which has been closed over the weekend, will reopen at 11.59pm Sunday 21 March. Childcare centres and The Forum at Callaghan campus will be open.

We ask that people exercise caution and minimise movement around our sites that are open. Pathways may be very slippery and there may be debris on roads or paths.

The conditions continue to develop and we are monitoring them closely. Please revisit this page for updates.
