National Final 2016
The 2016 National Final took place on Friday 21st October 2016 at the University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay Campus. Eight of the top schools from across Australia battled it out in a range of exciting hands-on activities that were kept secret until the morning of the event and were designed to demonstrate the varied and practical elements of a career in the disciplines of science and engineering.
Congratulations to the National Final Winners from St Mary's High School (Gateshead, NSW)!
Despite being one of the strongest and most competitive fields we have ever seen, the newly crowned National Champions placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in 11 of the 13 activity scores which is an amazing achievement. In the end they finished 280 points in front of runners-up Launceston Christian College. Third place went to another Tasmanian school, Mount Carmel College, followed by Immanuel College (SA) in fourth place.
