Teachers' Visit Day

On Friday 25 July, we held the 2014 University of Newcastle Teachers' Visit Day. Two hundred and forty teachers attended, advancing their professional skills and meeting other teachers from Hunter and Central Coast schools. University academic staff presented sessions throughout the day that provided:

  • cutting edge information of interest to teachers
  • information relating to the subject disciplines of teachers
  • fresh approaches to teaching and learning, including advances in technology
  • an opportunity to meet the new Head of School, Professor John Fischetti.

The event was endorsed by the Board of Studies, Teaching and Education (BOSTES) as a day of professional engagement.
