Academy of International Business - ANZ Chapter Symposium
On Friday 22 November, the Faculty hosted the Academy of International Business - ANZ Chapter/ANZIBA Annual Symposium.
The theme of the symposium was "Interdisciplinary Research in International Business" and a total of 31 papers were presented on a wide range of topics related to International Business.
Delegates from many disciplines came from across Australia, as far away as Perth, and a couple of delegates even came all the way from Taiwan and the US for the symposium. Although a few delegates were delayed owing to the heavy rains and other travel difficulties, most of the 56 delegates registered were able to make it in the end. After a packed day of sessions, delegates were treated to a stimulating closing plenary session by Professor Gordon Redding from INSEAD. Professor Redding drew on over 30 years' experience of completing interdisciplinary research in management and discussed the benefits and pitfalls of doing interdisciplinary-based research.
