Wherever possible, information will be released without the need for a formal application.
A formal application for access to information may be required when the information is not already available and cannot be provided informally. The GIPA office is responsible for applying the public interest test and deciding whether formally requested information will be released.
Applicants and those consulted as third parties have the right to seek a review of the University's decision. Applicants may request an internal review or apply directly to the Information Commissioner or Administrative Decisions Tribunal (ADT). Third Parties must request an internal review before applying to the Commissioner but can apply directly to the ADT. Read more about your rights to a review.

*Fees may be reduced by 50% if the applicant is aged under 18 years; can demonstrate financial hardship; can demonstrate public interest; or is a non-profit organisation.
