Student Accounts & Access to IT Services Online

Students of the University of Newcastle are provided with a range of IT and Online Services to assist with providing an innovative learning and teaching environment.

These 'accounts' are created automatically on completion of enrolment, but must be activated by accepting the University Computing and Communications Facilities - Conditions of Use - Other 000817.

To activate your accounts, click on 'Don't know username and password' on the Online Services Login page.

NOTE: If you are under 18, a parent (or responsible adult) must complete and submit this Consent Form.

 Computer Laboratories
 Student Modems
 ITSkills
 University Student Online Services eg. Exam Results, Online Billing & Payments

Access Expiry

Studentmail remains active for 200 days after completing or withdrawing.

Other IT access remains active for 30 days. If this occurs in November or December the grace period is 90 days to allow time for re-enrolment.

Access to exam results and alumni IT Services stays active.

Access for students on Leave of Absence remains active.

Research students may qualify at anytime throughout the year and their completion record can be put up ahead of time.
