Network Services

The University of Newcastle runs an extensive campus data network linking all major buildings on each of the campuses. In addition, external links are provided from the Callaghan campus to Newcastle CBD campus, Newbolds buildings (Mayfield) and Ourimbah campus, as well as to key partners such as Hunter New England Health.

Access to the Internet is provided through AARNet (the Australian Academic Research Network).

Network Services are also responsible for computer data related activities. To request one of these services, log a call online at the17triplezero Service Portal or by phone on extension 17000, and provide the appropriate details listed below.
