Printing Costs
Printing is charged at 11c per physical page for black and white laser printing which defaults to double-sided. A user can choose to print on one side of the page by selecting the single sided option within the print properties section of the particular document.

Note the that cost per page is 11c for both double and single sided printing, this is IT Services' way of encouraging users to reduce paper usage.

Colour laser printers are available in both the CT building and Huxley library, the cost is 50c per page single sided. Photo quality paper is available from the Huxley Information Desk.

For more information on how to print, and adding credit to your printing account, go to the PrintCopy System page. If you find a printer is out of paper or is running low on toner please contact the IT Service Desk.

Students are required to add credit to their Studentcard at autoloaders which are available in CT210, Huxley, Auchmuty and Music Libraries. This credit can also be used for photocopying.

Needs of Students with Disabilities
If you have students with disabilities that have special needs you can contact either the Adaptive Technology Unit (17046) or the IT Service Desk on extension 17000.

The 'P' Drive
There is a secure network drive ('P') available for staff to place files for students to access. This is a read only drive where lecture notes and assignment and tutorial related files can be retrieved. The 'P' drive is also usable as a means for students to submit their assignments. If you wish to place something on the 'P' drive or are interested in the other possible uses of this drive, please contact the IT Service Desk on extension 17000.

Software Installed
There is a variety of software available in the Computer Laboratories, however if there is software you wish to have installed please complete a Laboratory Software Installation Application.

Contact the IT Service Desk on extension 17000 for any queries regarding software availability.

Please note that once Semester has started no additional software will be loaded.

Laboratory Bookings
IT Services computer laboratories bookings must be made via Faculty timetablers.

Orientation for Tutors
If you are new to teaching in the labs and want further instruction please make an appointment with the IT Service Desk on extension 17000. Where possible it is preferred that staff come in small groups for these arranged orientation sessions.

Other Users in your Lab when you are Teaching
Letting users that are not in your class into the lab is at your discretion. You may also tell people to leave if you feel they are disrupting your teaching environment. If a user does not agree with this they can contact the IT Service Desk.

Emergency Procedures
In case of an emergency, teachers are responsible for their class. Please ensure that you are aware of the location of emergency exits in the building in which you are teaching. If you hear the alarm or a staff member informs you that there is an emergency, please take your students out of the building via the nearest emergency exit and wait for further instructions from Fire Wardens.
