Using Your Laptop in the Labs

The University Network is available for laptop users via data outlets or wireless connection in the Student Hubs at the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses, the City Precinct (CHIC) and the Auchmuty Information Common (AIC).

Network cables are provided in the specially designated areas in the Student Hubs. In the AIC, students must borrow cables from the AIC Information Desk (cables other than those supplied will not be supported).

Connecting your laptop to the wired or wireless network does not enable printing to the network printers or access to applications loaded on the lab PCs or MACs - it provides INTERNET ACCESS ONLY. 


Conditions of Use

By connecting to the University's wired or wireless network you are accepting the University's policies and guidelines on the use of the Internet and computing facilities.

Any inappropriate use of the network will be investigated and can result in disciplinary action and a range of penalties including suspension from a course of study. a fine, termination of employment, and/or criminal prosecution.
