Academic and Research Computing Services (ARCS)

ARCS is responsible for supporting the specialised computing needs of researchers, academic staff and research higher degree students of the University.

There are a number of services ARCS provides:

• High Performance Computing Services
• Access Grid Support

Contacting ARCS

Service Requests can be logged with 17triplezero IT Service Desk in any of three ways:

• by phone on extension 17000 or (02) 4921 7000,
• via the Service Portal
• via email to 17000@newcastle.edu.au

Your request will be logged into our Service Request system and assigned to the appropriate Job Queue. Please ask for your request to be logged to the ARCS queue where appropriate. The ARCS team will work on each request on a priority basis and contact you as soon as possible.
