Architecture Advisory Group (AAG)

Purpose

The AAG is the IT Governance mechanism for ensuring that the support groups, who maintain a solution throughout its operational life to sustain the business value, have input into the Solution and Design Decisions during the project.

The AAG is concerned with:

• Security
• Compatibility
• Sustainability
• Integration

The goal is to optimise overall UoN IT support costs through:

• minimising skills fragmentation and maximising reuse & common platforms
• ensuring support features are considered (Scalability, Flexibility, Manageability, Availability, Performance, Usability, Accessibility)
