About our Office

The University of Newcastle's International Office is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Global Relations) Professor Kevin McConkey.

The office of the DVC(A&GR) holds overall responsibility for the establishment, management, oversight and performance of offshore agreements including teaching partnerships, as well as the ongoing management of the University’s international student recruitment and the caretaking of international students during their on-shore educational experience.

The International Office has five main work units that combined, form our services framework. This framework takes responsibility for supporting the University's vision of "building distinction" into the future. These units are:
