The 2013 Global Corporate Challenge has begun!
We're off and walking!
This year there are 75 eager teams across Callaghan, Ourimbah, Newcastle City, Sydney, Tamworth, Port Macquarie and Singapore actively walking as part of the Global Corporate Challenge (GCC).
The Global Corporate Challenge is a corporate wellness program that encourages staff to take the World Health Organization's recommended 10 000 steps a day.
For 16 weeks the GCC participants record and enter their daily step count including any bicycle or swimming distance into the GCC website. The site adds the step count to the team total and plots the distance along a virtual tour of the world. The more active a team, the further they progress along the course.
This year The University of Wollongong have laid down a Steel City Challenge. The University with the highest daily step average at the end of the competition will be deemed the winner and will fly the opposing University flag for a week.
May the best team win!
