NUsport Board Nominations

Nominations are invited from non-casual members of University staff  for two (2) positions of company director on the NUsport Board for the next two (2) years.

NUsport is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee.  NUsport is responsible to its stakeholders for pursuing the goals set out in the Objects of its constitution.  The stakeholders are the students, staff and graduates (former students) of the University of Newcastle and the University itself.  The stakeholders developed the facilities managed by NUsport and established the company.  The stakeholder groups are represented on the NUsport Board.

As a not-for-profit company, the income and property of NUsport must be applied to the promotion of its objects and income or property cannot be paid or transferred to Members.  Directors serve in a strictly honorary capacity and they cannot be paid or hold a salaried position within NUsport.

Nominations close on Wednesday 1 May 2013 at 5.00pm.

Nomination forms for election to the Board are available from the NUsport office, The Forum Sports & Aquatics Centre, Callaghan.
