UoN eHealth Cluster
The eHealth Cluster, currently in the establishment phase, aims to facilitate collaboration between innovators from the fields of health and medical sciences, engineering, design, communication, information technology, education, mathematics, business, humanities, physical, environmental and social sciences.
Cluster participants will include academic and professional staff of the University of Newcastle (including clinical and non-clinical conjoints), representatives from across relevant industries, industry bodies, non-government organisations and government. The Research Development team is responsible for supporting the development of the cluster and welcomes involvement from potential participants.
Please contact Trudi Wynne if you are interested in participating in the eHealth Cluster or would like to nominate a potential participant from the University of Newcastle, industry or government.
A mailing list for the cluster has been set up which will keep subscribers informed of news and upcoming events relating to the Cluster. Please visit https://mailman.newcastle.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/ehealth if you would like to sign up to this mailing list.
An initial internal Think Tank Meeting has been organised to enable University participants to:
- Form the draft cluster scope and vision
- Identify obstacles or challenges
- Identify opportunities
- Discuss funding strategies
- Identify possible industry and government participants and appropriate strategies for approaching external participants.
This meeting will take place on Thursday 10 October 2013 in the Treehouse, Callaghan Campus from 12:30 - 2:30pm (lunch will be provided). If you are interested in participating in the cluster and have not previously advised of your attendance, please RSVP to Trudi Wynne by emailing Trudi.Wynne@newcastle.edu.au by 5pm Wednesday 2 October 2013.
An initial website has been established which will be updated following the Think Tank. Please visit http://www.newcastle.edu.au/research-and-innovation/innovation/hubs-and-clusters/e-health for further information on the cluster, or contact either Trudi Wynne or Belinda Peden in the Research Development Team for further information.
