Ramadhan UNIS Break-fast (iftar)

Come along as we break our fast together!

Everyone - staff and students - is invited.

Ramadhan is one of the most anticipated months in the Islamic calendar. Why? Muslims’ holy book, the Quran, was sent down to the Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) in this blessed month. Also, approximately 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide fast from dawn until dusk in this holy month. For Muslims, fasting not only brings them closer to their God al-Mighty but also helps them understand the plight of the poor.

In the spirit of Ramadhan and in support of cultural awareness, the University of Newcastle Islamic Society (UNIS) proudly brings to you its annual iftar (break-fast).

This year, food will be served by the Saudi Students Society, Malaysian Youth Society, Indonesian Students Society and many more!

UNIS Break – Fast (Iftar) @ 4.45pm – 6.00pm, Auchmuty Courtyard
