Save the date - 2013 Human Rights and Social Justice Lecture

The 2013 Human Rights & Social Justice Lecture will be held on Friday 6 September.

Each year the Human Rights & Social Justice Lecture provides an opportunity for members of the University and the wider community to reflect on issues of social justice that challenge Australia.

The 2012 lecture by Dr Anne Summers has now reached over 20 000 views on Youtube, making it one of the most viewed University of Newcastle clips.

The 2013 lecture will be delivered by Peter FitzSimons, one of Australia's most prominent and successful media identities and social commentator.  In 2011 Peter was named a Member of the Order of Australia for service to literature as a biographer, sports journalist and commentator, and to the community through contributions to conservation, disability care, social welfare and sporting organisations.
