Can you help support a student? Donate to the 2013 Annual Appeal

Can you help a student who is facing hardship? Can you spare some money to contribute to a scholarship? An appeal to support students who are facing hardship has again been launched at the University of Newcastle.

The University’s Annual Appeal aims to raise funds for the Shaping Futures Scholarship Fund, which provides $4,000 scholarships for disadvantaged students.

If 120 people give $100 each, we can transform the lives of three more students.

The Appeal embodies the University’s commitment to equity as almost 27 per cent of the University’s students are from a low socio-economic background, significantly higher than the sector average of 16 per cent.

This year 14 Shaping Futures scholarships were able to be offered, but with 235 applications this year it would be truly wonderful to help shape the life of one more student.
