Did you know that the application forms for creditor accounts have changed?

Currently there are two application forms on the web for creditor accounts; one for Trade Creditors and another for Students & Visitors.  Over recent months Financial Services has undertaken a review of these web forms which identified various issues, including but not limited to:

• The forms are not user friendly
• There is confusion as to which form is to be completed
• The forms do not meet the needs of all of our international suppliers
• Electronic submission failures forcing suppliers to fax or email a scanned hard copy of the form to Financial Services.

The review also identified an increasing requirement by customers of the University; for supply of our banking & company information on a signed form with supporting documentary evidence, before they can make any payments to the University.

Therefore, to address the issues identified, applications for creditor accounts for Trade Creditors, Students & Visitors have changed to a paper based form which suppliers can obtain from Financial Services.

We took the opportunity to introduce these changes to coincide with the launch of phase one of the new web site for the University of Newcastle.
