Changes to Academic Staff Annual Leave Application Process
From 1 February 2013, annual leave for academic staff will be displayed and accrued in HRonline.
All annual leave will need to be booked through HRonline and then approved by your supervisor/Head of School. If annual leave bookings are not made within 20 working days of the 2013/2014 Christmas Closedown, the leave will be deemed to have been taken. For example, your 20 twenty days (or pro-rata equivalent) of annual leave accrued in 2013 should be exhausted by the end of January 2014.
Annual leave can also be taken at other times of the year with the approval of your supervisor or Head of School. Normally, this will be in a non-teaching period and must be applied for through HRonline.
You don't have to take any action in relation to this year's leave accrual.
