Taking AIM
All new students commencing in 2013 will be required to complete a University Academic Integrity Module (AIM) before the end of their first enrolment period (Trimester, Semester or Block).
The University AIM will take the form of an online test in Blackboard and students must achieve 100% to pass. Students may repeat the module any number of times. Existing students may complete the module but it is not a requirement.
The University AIM will become available with a new Blackboard AIM tab in January 2013. The first group of new students affected will be Trimester 1 2013.
Successful completion will be automatically stored against their student record in NUSTAR. A 'hold' will be placed on the student's record in NUSTAR if the AIM is not completed within the designated period. This will prevent the student from re-enrolling, viewing their exam results or transcript, or graduating, until they successfully complete the module.
If you require more information about the implementation of the University Academic Integrity Module, please contact Keith Foggett, Learning Development Coordinator (Centre for Teaching and Learning), (02) 4921 7298 or email keith.foggett@newcastle.edu.au
