Nustar upgrade

The University of Newcastle's STudent Academic Records system, more commonly known as NUSTAR, is currently being upgraded to the latest version. The upgrade will introduce a new look and feel, including additional navigation options, and also aims to address the overload issues which occur during peak enrolment times.

The upgrade has been planned for a while and the Business Owners, Gail White and Carmel O'Regan, are looking forward to having a system that will support and improve processes for staff and students.

The upgrade will go live on Monday 26 November 2012, including a brand new logo.

Staff Training & Drop-in Clinics

Training and Drop-in Clinics will be available for all staff that are current NUSTAR users. Training sessions will be offered at Callaghan, Newcastle City, Ourimbah, Port Macquarie and Sydney campuses from mid November and can be booked through HR Online.  Training for Singapore staff will be provided in early 2013.

Drop in clinics will be held at Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses on the 11th & 12th December. Staff are welcome to drop in with any NUSTAR questions they may have.

The Callaghan Drop-in Clinic will be held on Tuesday 11 December in CT304, CT Building, from
10-11am and 2-3pm.

The Ourimbah Drop-in Clinic will be held on Wednesday 12 December in Training Lab 2 from 10-11am and 2-3pm.

NUSTAR Outage

To allow the upgrade to occur, NUSTAR will be unavailable on the weekend of 24-25 November 2012.

If staff experience any problems with NUSTAR after the upgrade please contact the IT Service Desk either through the Service Portal www.newcastle.edu.au/17000 or extension 17000.
