The Wollotuka Acquisitive Art Prize 2012
The Wollotuka Acquisitive Art Prize is again running this year featuring traditional and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from around the region and Australia.
This exhibition showcases both contemporary and traditional techniques and promotes cultural partnerships with local, regional and national communities. As an art form, indigenous art is evolving while keeping its traditional foundations, and the Wollotuka Acquisitive Art Prize celebrates and promotes this expression.
In addition to the major prize of $5000, the Interrelate Family Services Acquisitive Prize of $1000 will also be awarded, as well as a $500 People's Choice Award.
Opening Night and Major Prize Announcement: Wednesday 12 September 6pm
Exhibition dates: Wednesday 12 September to Saturday 29 September (The University Gallery) and Friday 12 October to Saturday 27 October (The Entrance Gallery)
Where: The University Gallery
