A win for GOALSS
You don't need to be an Olympian to experience the power of sport and how it can unite communities by establishing connections and friendships.
The Games for Overseas and Local Students and Staff (GOALSS) program uses sport to connect male international students with domestic students and staff.
One staff participant, Andrew Lloyd from the Faculty of Health, says that GOALSS is for all skill levels and that anyone who wants to have fun and connect can participate.
"I've played plenty of soccer in the past, but what I like about GOALSS is that it's just for fun. I really enjoy the diversity of people and the mix of skills of the people that play. The program has a very casual atmosphere and I find it an easy way to slot some exercise into my week. As a staff member, I find the barbecue is a great chance to connect with some of the students."
So, make sure you register for GOALSS and have your share of the fun!
Time to kick-off semester 2 program!
Register now for the semester two program and meet with other GOALSS participants Thursday afternoons between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at No.1 sportsfield (next to the squash pavilion). You can find a campus map here
