Vice-Chancellor's Award for Supervision Excellence
Nominations are open for the Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Supervision Excellence.
This award recognises outstanding supervisors of research higher degree candidates and the important role they play in our research achievements and in supporting our talented candidates.
Each faculty recognises their most outstanding supervisor with a faculty award. The Faculty award may be presented to a team of supervisors. The Vice-Chancellor's Award for Supervision Excellence is then presented to the most outstanding application received for a faculty award.
Winners of a faculty category will receive $2,000 (paid as salary or a travel grant) and a certificate. The Vice-Chancellor's Award for Supervision Excellence recipient will receive $10,000 (paid as salary or a travel or research grant) and a certificate.
Applications for 2012 close on 14 September 2012.
Supervisors must be nominated by a former student who must provide a written supporting statement. A staff member who is a Head of School, Research Convenor or Head of Discipline must sign off on the eligibility of the nominee.
