Understanding Contributions & Caps
The rules around contributing to super can be complex and confusing. This seminar aims to take away the confusion and explain the different types of contributions to super. It is suitable to all members considering:
- the types of contributions available and how they are taxed
- the contribution caps that apply - including the reduced caps from 1 July 2012 for those aged 50 and over
- incentives to contribute to super such as the spouse rebate
- ways to manage your contributions
- special rules for some Defined Benefit Division members
