Healthy Heart Week - what's it about?

The University of Newcastle is committed to promoting wellness and health opportunities for its staff. Supporting this, the university has again joined with Newcastle University Sport (NUsport) to hold heart and related checks just for you.

...AND it begins during National Heart Week!

Who can register?

Measure Up Checks are open to all university staff. You have the choice to participate in checks on a range of health issues including cholesterol and blood glucose levels. These 30 minute checks help to provide you with the information and tools you need to make beneficial changes to your lifestyle.

Information available on the day may include: 

  • Blood pressure 
  • Blood glucose 
  • Cholesterol checks 
  • Waist Measurement 
  • Feedback and action plan devised based on individual results

Choose from 4 campus locations, 5 days. We'll contact you to confirm time and location.

Working at Callaghan, Ourimbah, Newcastle City or remotely?

  • Callaghan: 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th May, 9.00am-4.30pm (various locations)
  • Newcastle City: 10th May, 9.00am-4.30pm (University House)
  • Ourimbah: 9th May, 9.00am-4.00pm
