Learn how to protect your voice

Most university staff rely upon the voice as the principal tool of trade, for the purposes of lecturing, making research or policy presentations, and copious organisational communication with colleagues and students.

The Vocal Skills Workshop is a great way for University of Newcastle staff to learn how to improve the quality, projection and longevity of their voices.

This workshop will include a toolkit for general voice care, education about vocal anatomy and reasons to avoid damaging vocal behaviours, as well as tips on effective vocal skills and voice preservation.

It concludes with a set of take-home voice training skills, to prepare the voice for the years ahead, and improve longevity of a healthy voice, while pursuing a vocally-intensive career.
