New reporting lines

This is an exciting time for the University of Newcastle as we look to the future and aspire to become a global leader in all of our spheres of achievement and ensure world class innovation builds stronger regional communities.

Central to achieving this vision is a strong and robust planning process and ensuring there is a shared understanding of our vision, goals and plans. During 2012, the University will work on the NeW Directions Strategic Plan: 2013 - 2015 which will be the first of the rolling triennial plans foreshadowed in our Building Distinction 2011 - 2015 planning process. Given the central importance of great organisation, communication, data analysis and reporting, the Planning, Quality and Reporting Unit and the Human Resource Services Unit will both become part of the Vice-Chancellor's Division and report directly to the Vice-Chancellor from January 2012.
