Blackboard Learn 9.1 upgrade is happening!
Blackboard will be unavailable from 9am Wednesday 14 December when the upgrade will occur. It is anticipated Blakboard Learn 9.1 will become available after close of business on Friday 16 December.
It's the same, but different
Once Blackboard Learn 9.1 is up and running, you will notice some changes:
- Some courses will be disabled as part of the upgrade
- Staff will no longer create teaching course sites
- A Blackboard site will be created for each academic program
- There is an approval process for all other Blackboard course sites
- There is a new Blackboard Course Life Cycle
- There are changes to the way users are managed
- Student users can no longer be manually added to a teaching course site
- There are changes to the way you access Blackboard course sites
- There are new role names in Blackboard
You’ll also notice improvements to:
- the user interface
- integrated navigation features
- a new rubric tool
- enhanced Group and Assignment tool features, and
- new Blackboard Blogs, Wikis and Journals.
