Safety in Research and Teaching

Technical Sub-Committees

A Technical Sub-Committee (TSC) is formed as a body of the OH&S Committee to provide advice and review the safety aspects of activities undertaken by the University of Newcastle in specific areas of expertise (refer to their Terms of Reference).  
  
The Committees meet on a 5 weekly basis. To provide time for review, and so ensure there are no delays in providing safety approval to a research grant, it is important that applications are received by Health and Safety well in advance of the relevant Committee meeting (three weeks prior to a meeting is recommended).
