How to become a First Aid Officer (FAO)
When an organisational unit identifies a need for a First Aid Officer in a particular location, nominations are called. The Head of School / Director then confirms nominations with the Health & Safety Team.
The nominated person must then contact Diane Bunch on ext. 17721, email firstname.lastname@example.org, to undertake the relevant training.
It is the responsibility of the new FAO to:
read the FAO induction documents;
complete the Confirmation of Induction form; then
sign and forward the form to Health & Safety, Human Resource Services for details to be entered in the HR database. This ensures payment of the FAO Allowance is made.
