Special Studies Program (SSP) - Index
Policy
The Special Studies Program (SSP) Policy replaces the Outside Studies Program (OSPRO) Policy, and was approved by the Vice-Chancellor on 20 April 2007.
Procedures
The SSP procedures are to be read in conjunction with the SSP Policy.
Application Dates
- 1 June for SSP commencing on 1 January of the following year.
- 1 November for SSP commencing on 1 July of the following year.
Applications
The Application Form is to be submitted to the the Pro Vice-Chancellor as per the following procedures:

Application Form to be completed by applicant and forwarded to Head of School for comments;

Head of School to complete recommendation section and return Application Form to applicant; and

Applicant to acknowledge the recommendation from the Head of School (see Section 14 of the Application Form) and forward completed application to Pro Vice-Chancellor.
Applications may be submitted electronically where electronic signatures are available.
Please ensure all parts of the Application Form are completed, expanding the typing space where necessary.
Reports
The Report is to be submitted to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) as per the following procedures:

Report template to be completed by applicant, within one month of their return, and forwarded to Head of School for comments;

Head of School to forward Report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic).
