Plans and Reports

The University of Newcastle has a range of policies and plans that reflects and celebrates diversity, practices affirmative action and offers equal opportunity.

The 2012-2015 Equity & Diversity Management Plan facilitates the identification and removal of systemic barriers to the participation and promotion in employment of equity groups, including:

  • Women
  • Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander people
  • People with a disability
  • People requiring a workplace adjustment
  • People from racial, ethnic and ethno-religious minority groups
  • People whose language first spoken as a child was not English

The 2012 - 2015 Equity & Diversity Management Plan complements both the Institutional Strategic Plan and the Reconciliation Action Plan
