Got a taste for gaming? Then take a SIP.

  • Dr David Cameron
  • 9 May 12-1pm
  • BOLD Lab, Drama Building

SIP takes the place of what were previously known as Roundtables. The SIP concept is that interested staff members have the chance to gather and Share Innovative Practice with their colleagues. Dr David Cameron will be hosting this SIP, which will focus on digital games and the gamification of higher learning. Staff who have been involved in game-based learning approaches or those who are interested in learning more are invited to attend. To register, please email ctl@newcastle.edu.au.

All sorts of students

Licorice All Sorts

CTL are gathering all sorts of students who are willing to give feedback and share their learning experiences of both face-to-face teaching and the online environment.  Members of the group will form student panels and take part in the Equip series, which are workshops for academic staff who wish to further develop and enhance their teaching skills. Your genuine comments form an integral component of the Equip process, with the end result better teaching and a more positive experience for students. Participation is voluntary and the estimated time commitment is 1-2 hours. All participants will receive a certificate of acknowledgement and a lolly bag to take home. To register your interest, contact vivien.mccomb@newcastle.net.au or call 4921 5350

Program Mapping (AQF) Walk-In Sessions

Finger on the puzzle.

CTL’s AQF Information Session generated a number of important questions from staff members, eager to know more about program mapping. CTL has organised a number of walk-in sessions in May and June so academic staff have all the information they need to facilitate the mapping process. Tailored sessions can also be organised for your discipline group. Click here to register: goo.gl/V68Zx
