Workshops
You can develop skills in academic writing and learning through:
- Academic Skills workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate students
- course-specific workshops for Newstep and Open Foundation students
- discipline-related workshops to address specific assessment tasks in undergraduate courses across all faculties of the university
- a series of seminars and events for Research Higher Degree students
If English is not your first language, you can develop English Language skills through:
- general ESL workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate students
- workshops in English reading, writing, speaking and listening which students can access by completing the Diagnostic Academic English Language Tool (DAELT)
Maths workshops can help you address weaknesses or gaps in your mathematical knowledge. The workshops are based on topics covered in first -year subjects with any mathematical component, and aim to give students opportunities to practise and develop their mathematical skills. If you’re not sure about your level of maths knowledge, you can do the Maths Diagnostic Quiz (MDQ).
