We have developed a range of resources for staff and students at the University. These resources include instruction manuals, tipsheets and online resources.
Teaching in the online environment resource
This resource has been designed to increase the skills and confidence of staff new to online teaching. It also introduces teaching technologies used at the University of Newcastle.
In addition, staff experienced with online teaching may use the resource as a reference tool to improve and extend their current online teaching practice.
Learning in the online environment resource
This web-based resource has been created by the Centre for Teaching and Learning's Educational Resources Support and Development team to support commencing students at the University of Newcastle.

Contains short videos and documents that show you how to teach online using Blackboard Learn 9.1
* Blackboard's resources may refer to tools and features not used at this University. Names for items may differ form those in the manuals as Blackboard can be tailored to individual preferences. Instructions on using tools or services integrated into Blackboard via Building Blocks (e.g. Turnitin, Campus Pack) are not included in these manuals.
