The Centre for Teaching and Learning designs and develops high quality learning materials for students at the University of Newcastle. We support development of educational resources as well as providing support to students and staff in the use of the following online learning technologies.

A complete fixed classroom, mobile, and faculty lecture capture solution. Delivery of rich media Flash-based content to students is seamless via automated publication to Blackboard.
A web-based environment that allows students to access, engage and interact with online information and activities, and with people in the online environment.
A text-matching program that gives students feedback on referencing in their written work. At UoN, students acccess Turnitin via their enrolled Blackboard courses.
Incorporates Web 2.0 technologies (blogs, wikis, and podcasts) into Blackboard and provides additional ways to collaborate and communicate online with students. Web 2.0 can enhance traditional methods of teaching, creating assessment tasks and engaging students with your online course.
An assessment management tool for creating tests and surveys for direct publication to one or more Blackboard courses (Windows only).
